Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof has announced that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will launch the new national team jersey in tonight's game.
According to minister Mahloof's Facebook page, the president will attend tonight's match between Maldives and China.
The new national team jersey was designed by Sharif Adam, winner of the Bank of Maldives jersey design competition earlier this year.
Maldives will play against China in their second game in the joint World Cup/ Asian Cup qualification match. Maldives won their first game against Guam away from home. This will be China's opening game in their World Cup campaign.
