Pre-tournament favorites Green Streets loses their opening game against an in-form Maziya 3-1 in today's Premier League clash.
Maziya took the lead in the fourth minute when Naiz Nassan(Dhaadhu) scored for the Green Boys. Strong advances from both teams, but the first half ended 1-0.
Hamza Mohamed(Hampu) doubled Maziya's lead ten minutes into the second half only for Green Streets to reduce the deficit four minutes later. Center defender Mohamed Saif headed a corner to make it 1-2. Man of the match Ibrahim Mahudhee Hussain(Feydhoo Ibbe) pegged Green Streets back immediately buy scoring the third goal for Maziya.
Green Streets pressed forward going close with Ali Ashfaq's (Dhagandey)through balls to Abdulla Yameen(yaanu). Yaanu had an excellent game for Green Streets testing Maziya shot stopper Oyaz Azizi.
United Victory will take on Victory Sports Club later tonight.
