Even a 0-1 defeat to India will see Maldives qualify to the semi-finals as the runner up of Group B.

Sri Lanka has already played both their games and has a point and a goal difference of -2. Maldives meanwhile has a game in hand and has already a point and a 0 goal difference. As long as Maldives does not lose 2-0 Maldives is assured of a place in the semi-finals. If defeated by a 2-0 margin, The team with more goals scored will go through to the semi-finals. Since the rest of the conditions do not apply as it stands, The group B runners up will be decided by draw of lots in case Maldives loses 2-0.

If India manage to score more than 3 goals, Sri Lanka will go through and Maldives will be eliminated.

If Maldives beat India, Maldives will qualify as the group winner and play Group A runner-up Pakistan. Pakistan has defied all odds and qualified to the Semi-finals for the first time in a decade. Group B runner-up will play against high flying Nepal, who knocked out hosts Bangladesh.
