Pakistan Raises To The Top With A 3-0 Victory Over Bhutan
Pakistan raises to the top of group A with a 3-0 win over Bhutan in their final group game in the SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018.
Pakistani striker Mohamed Riaz scored from a flick on by captain Saddam Hussain in the 20th minute. Hassan Bashir scored almost ten minutes later from a Muhammad Ali's pass to double Pakistan's lead.
Second half didn't see a comeback from Bhutan as Muhammad Ali again was the creative man as his pass found Faheem Ahmed to make it 3-0.
The win takes Pakistan to the summit of Group A. Later tonight Bangladesh will play against Nepal. With this score Pakistan has already ensured qualification to the semi finals. Pakistan has been absent from International football for more than three years. Their comeback has been excellent including the showing in the recent Asian games held in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. For the first time in thirteen years Pakistan has qualified to the semi-finals of the SAFF Championships.
