Green Street holds the Champions
Club Green Streets hold on to draw the champions Eagles to a nil-nil draw in the ongoing Youth Under 19 Championship
Eagles dominated play from the first few minutes. It was Green Streets that rattled the cross bar with a powerful effort in the first half. Eagles looked very comfortable going forward until the half hour mark. Ahmed Samah limped off in the 30th minute. Since the talented former National under 16 captain came off Eagles domination of the game changed.
After an dominating performance in the first half, Eagles were on the backfoot in the second half. Green Streets looking the stronger of the two teams. Both teams came close to scoring, both teams had had their goalkeepers beaten for Eagles they were saved when the shot went wide. For Green Streets with their goalkeeper well beaten the ball was cleared off the line.
With two games each, Eagles top the league table with 4 points. Green Street with 2, Maziya with a game in hand has only one point. New Radiant is yet to gain a point.
New Radiant will play Maziya tomorrow night at 2100 hours at Galolhu National Stadium.
