Maldives National Women’s team participating in the 18^th Asian games Football tournament has left male’ today for Indonesia. The 18^th Asian games is being held from 18^th August to 2^nd September in Jakarta and Palembang, the two biggest cities of Indonesia.

Maldives is drawn in group A of the tournament along with Asian Football power house South Korea, host Indonesia and Chinese Taipei.  Maldives team would play three matches in the group stage, with top two teams form the group qualifying for the knock out stage.

Maldives will play against the host Indonesia in their first game, and than take on the power house South Korea on the 19th of August. They will play their last group game on the 21st August against Chinese Taipei.
