Ismail Zaan Amir plays his first senior game abroad in UD Puçol B-team's pre-season draw against L'Eliana. 

UD Puçol needed two goals in the last ten minutes to draw the game 2-2. Zaan started the game playing as right wing back. 18 year old had a good game according to an official from UD Puçol. "Zaan played very well coming into the side from the juniors. Zaan was excellent in defense going forward often causing problems to L'Eliana defense".

However on the hour mark Zaan had to come off injured. The Maldivian youngster had to come off with a twisted ankle and is hopeful of returning to the team in the earliest possible.

UD Puçol's next game is on Tuesday against El Puig. Still on pre-season, Zaan is hoping to fight his way into first team.

Zaan is a Maldives under 19 International, who had captained Maldives under 16 in the SAFF under 16 Championships. The nephew of Ismail Asif (Kuda Heena) and Heena Ahmed Saleem (Bodu Heena) also shined in Edukick, Manchester before moving on to Levante. Zaan's only  Maldivian league appearance came in  substitute appearances as a 16 year old in Club Valencia in 2016, where his uncle Kuda Heena was the coach. Zaan rejected an offer from BG Sports to play under the guidance of his uncle  Kuda Heena and family's favorite club, Club Valencia.
