Nine Coaches have completed the AFC A-License course conducted in Male
Nine Coaches have completed the AFC A-License course conducted in Male for the first time since 2006.
The course was conducted by the Football Association of Maldives. Seven of the nine are Maldivian coaches. Including United Victory head-coach Mohamed Nazeeh and former national player and New Radiant assistant coach, Ashraf Luthfee.
The Course was conducted by FIFA and AFC Instructor Nihad Souqar of Jordan. Coach Nihad has a vast experience both as a national player and a coach. The Pro-Licence instructor speaking at the closing ceremony has said that he is happy with the level of discipline and commitment shown by all the coaches and the under 19 boys that participated in the practicals. He also thanked the FAM and those involved and stressed the importance of coach education for the development of football.

The chief guest of the closing ceremony Honorable deputy minister Abdul Muhsin (J-fo) thanked FAM for the opportunity and said that he hopes all the participants will give their best to serve football and serve the nation through football.
The Technical director of Maldives Can Vanli, his deputy Ihusaan Abdul Ghani (Saanthi), the General Secretary Hussain Jawaz, Head of Coach Education Mohamed Shazly and Ahmed Shareef, the head of Grassroots football all congratulated the coaches.
FAM also presented Maldives National Team Jerseys to the Instructor Nihad Souqar, coach Mohamed Izzath bin Omar(of Brunei) and Coach Mohamed Yusup Prasetiyo(of Indonesia)
