The Football Association of Maldives has recently announced that they have scheduled to kick off this year's Premier League on 28th June 2018.

Dhivehi Premier League includes top 6 teams from Male League 2018 and top 4 teams of Minivan Championship 2018. New Radiant Sports Club, Maziya Sports & RC, TC Sports Club, Club Eagles, Victory Sports Club and Club Green Streets have qualified from Male League 2018 while Th.Thimarafushi, Sh.Foakaidhoo, F.Nilandhoo and B.Fehendhoo have been qualified to Dhivehi Premier League from Minivan Championship 2018.

According to the rules of the league, 10 teams will face each other in the first round and top eight teams will advance to the next round while bottom two teams will have their campaign ended after the first round. Eight teams will compete in the second round to grab the glorious title and top four teams will be qualified to the Presidents Cup as per FAM' regulations. New Radiant Sports Club are the current champions of Dhivehi Premier League.
