Club Green streets face off against Club Valencia in their final game of the first round of STO Male’ League today. It’s a vital match for both teams at the bottom of the points table. Club Green Streets is in the 7^th place of the points table with 5 points from 6 matches, while club Valencia has  only 1 point from their 5 matches so far. Even though Valencia has a match in hand, its no comfort to the team or coach given that its against Mighty New Radiant SC.

A win for Green streets could move them to the top six of the points table at the end of the match day 7, depending on how the other results go. Green Streets lost heavily in their last match against New Radiant SC, a result they would want to forget as soon as possible with a good result in this match. At the moment the biggest aim for Coach Suzain and Green Streets must be to ensure they qualify to the premier league, a task they achieved in their debut season under coach Sobah. If they fail to reach the target it would be a huge disappointment and failure compared to last years achievement. A must for a new team still trying to establish their name in the top flight of the Maldivian Football.

Club Valencia lost narrowly to Victory Sc in their last match, which Soba did before hand say was a final for them if they are to go ahead in the league. Even though they scored first in the match, Victory SC came form behind to score 2 goals to win the match and which means Valencia is still rooted to the bottom of the table with just one point. Soba comes into the match with nothing much to lose and nothing much expected from the team. Its very unlikely that Valencia will qualify to the Premier League, and they might just have one eye on the Second division results, as they are likely to play relegation battle with the eventual second division finalists.
