Maziya are slowly getting into form after a slow start to the season. They were able to gain only one point from the first two matches, but back to back victories means they are currently fourth in the points table trailing league leaders New Radiant SC by 3 points. Imma set a target to win the league at the start of the season hence against UV any other result than 3 points would be a big tragedy. Maziya can be happy with the league break which gives time for their injured captain since last season, Asadulla Abdulla to slowly return to the first eleven. They can also take satisfaction from the display of Maziya players in the National team colours during the break. Confidence must be high and a third win in a row is definitely possible against United Victory to close the gap at the top.

United Victory on the other hand started the league very positively winning their first two matches against club Valencia and Victory SC. But since than, the club lost the next two matches,  highlighting the teams weakness, conceding a total of 8 goals without a reply. Nazeeh can ill afford another huge loss against an ever improving Maziya side, as confidence of the team plays a huge role given the mid table battle already look too close to call. United Victory also played a game mid weak against New Radiant which was delayed due to New Radiant's AFC commitment, hence their players have a shorter rest time which still might not be a big factor deciding the out come of the match. UV are currently 4th in the points table with 6 points, and would need a result against Maziya if they are to stay fourth after match week 5.
