Today, in the Milo Inter School Football Tournament 2018, in under 14, Majeedhiyya School has been crowned as the new champion of age group.

Today evening, in tournament venue, Henveiru Ground, in the final match of the age group, Majeedhiyya School played against Iskandharu School. Iskandharu was the runner-up of last year too back then got defeated by Ahmadhiyya International School.

During today’s evening final, Iskandharu School outfield in white shirts while Majeedhiyya School in their usual red shirts. It was Majeedhiyya under 14 side who took the lead of the final match. At the 15^th minute mark, the very talented Majeedhiyya young attacker, J.No#7, Ahmed Maish Rasheed scored the opener of the final and giving 1 – 0 lead to his side. As expected, the game atmosphere was realy an amazing sport event to watch, while the parents and fans from both sides were cheering for their teams and school bands were performing their tunes as the game kept growing.

It did not take much longer for last year’s runner-up, Iskandharu School to level the game. Just after Majeedhiyya’s goal, after just three minutes, at the 18^th minute mark, J.No#11, Mohamed Zayan made his name into the score sheet as he leveled the game for his side.

In the first half, it was Majeedhiyya School who were superior on the pitch as they dominated the game better than the other side. As a result, just 4 minutes to Iskandharu’s equalizing goal, it was Ahmed Maish again scoring the second of the evening and once again giving the lead back to Majeedhiyya with a beautiful goal as he went to complete his brace of the match. Iskandharu tried to change the game score line by bringing fresh players on the pitch, yet, it did not help much, as the game went to interval by Majeedhiyaa leading on 2-1.

During last half of the match both teams did bring new players on the pitch to stick on to their plan to achieve targets from the game. And it was Majeedhiyya who successfully nailed it as under 14 age category final match ended on Majeedhiyya favor.

The trophy of Champions to Majeedhiyya School was handover by the executive official of Nestle’ Milo to Maldives, Mr.Dhishan. For the best 11 players from the age category also was awarded in the awarding ceremony. Fair play team of the under 14 age category is Ghiyasuddin International School.
