Singapore come out on top against Maldives

Petar Segrt Maldives are off to a loosing start after a 3-2 lose against Singapore in a international friendly played at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang.

It was Singapore who drew first blood in the 38th minute after Harris Haroon fired home and made it 1-0 but Singapore's joy was short lived.

Maldives hit back a minute later thanks to Mohamed Umair's wonderful free-kick that curled beyond everyone and into the far corner of the net.

Singapore went up again in the 66th minute. Shahdhan Sulaiman sent keeper Faisal the wrong way to make the score 2-1 and restore Singapore's lead.

In the 70th minute Singapore went two goals up and made the score 3-1 thanks to Shakir Hamza's strike.

Feydhoo ibbe did narrow the scoreline after slotting the ball into the far corner of the net but Segrt's side was unable to make a comeback as Singapore held on to a win
