Highly rated Green Streets youngster Hussain Rayyan has signed for Maalhos Sports Club.

Rayyan is known for his promising play as a wing back, making forward runs and scoring goals. He is a striker who played as a right back for BG Sports Club U21 team in 2016. He has been nick-named as "The New Yoottey", after the legendary full back, Yoosuf Azeem who was Rayyan’s coach when he played for Iskandharu School in the Inter-School Tournament.

Rayyan is expected to play as wing back at Maalhos Sports Club as he will be working under Ali Nisthar Mohamed who was in charge of BG U21 team in 2016. This will Rayyan’s big opportunity to prove himself in the senior level as he is considered as a versatile and an ideal replacement for Waadu (Abdul Wahid) who joined united Victrory. Rayyan has represented Maldives in the under 16 and under 19 categories. Rayyan also worked as a part time youth coach for TC academy and New Radiant academy.

Maalhos Sports Club began their preparations recently and has signed Pakistan National team goal keeper, Saqib Hanif. Jailam Mohamed (Oggy) who was a team mate of Rayyan in BG U21 is also expected to join Maalhos.
