STO Male' League Match Day #4 Our predictions
After a break of more than a week to accommodate New Radiant SC AFC Cup match, STO Male' league resumes tomorrow. With match day #4 here, BoalhaMV as usual looks at the fixtures list ahead for match day #4 and shares our prediction.
In match day #3 Maziya was finally able to get their first win under the belt with a 2-0 win over club Valencia. Even though it was expected to be a comfortable victory, Maziya had to dig deep against a hard working Club Valencia and was only able to score their goal late in the second half to the much relief of the coach and players. With 4 points from three matches they are currently 4th in the STO Male’ League points table, not an ideal spot for a team that aims to win the league.
Victory SC also was finally able to end their 2 match losing streak in a hard fought 2-1, win over TC Sports club, an upset given TC was expected win the match. Credit has to be given to Coach Kiss and Victory players for the 3 points. Their only disappointment of the match would be the sending off of their newly signed forward Pedro Henrique C. Olivera, who would be a big miss against Maziya. Victory is currently in 5th place of the table with 3 points from 3 matches.
Both teams take confidence of their first wins in the league to match day #4. Even though Maziya are slight favorites, they are yet to hit top goal scoring form this season and Victory SC is improving and getting better in every match day. We think Victory might just upset Imma and Maziya’s plan.
BoalhaMV prediction: 2-2 exciting draw
Players to watch: Angel Munoz (7) Victory SC, Naiz Hassan (11) Maziya S & R
TC Sports Club and Club Valencia both lost in match day 3 and has just 1 points from three matches in the league so far. Both the clubs lie at the bottom of the table, occupying 7th and 8th places respectively. It is already a mini crisis for TC Sports Club, given that they were the first club that started the preparations for the new season, and they were expected to genuinely fight for the league title. TC Coach Nizambe has highlighted that some of the TC players were slow to start the matches along with poor concentration at the start of each match, has forced the team to always try to come back after conceding early goals and forcing him to early substitutions. He has promised that TC would bounce back in the upcoming matches.
Valenica lost to Maziya after a good flight and it seems Coach Soba needs more time to make the team gel and make them play the way he wants. Given that Soba is doing a rebuilding job with the team, they might not be too worried about the results at the moment, but a top six finish and qualifying to the premier league surely must be the target for Soba and the team. Hence he cannot affort more losses.
Given the poor results from TC we expect Nizambe to fix the early season errors from the team and we can expect TC to come all guns blazing against Club Valencia which just might prove to be bit too strong for them.
BoalhaMV prediction: 2-1 narrow win to TC
Players to watch: Dioh Clarence Williams (9) TC Sports Club, Dryga Sergii (9) Club Valencia
Club Eagles is yet to lose a match in the league, and are currently at the top of the points table with 7 points from 3 matches even though they have not looked spectacular under coach Mohan. New Radiant SC has a perfect record in the league and the AFC Cup so far wining all their matches. They have one match in hand in the league, hence they would not be worried that Eagles are leading the points table. No team has been able to score against New Radiant in the league so far, hence it might be the biggest challenge for Mohan and Eagles.
New Radiant players might feel some fatigue given that they have played 2 more matches in the AFC cup. But with a big squad to choose from, they can bring on fresh faces with enough experiences and talent to fill any players that needs a rest.
Eagles forward Purcino Luiz Eduardo has been in superb form this season so far, while New Radiant forward Ali Ashfaq scored a hatrick in his last match against Azwal of India in the AFC Cup. He seems to be getting better with age and maturity and proved that he hasn’t lost his magic touch.
BoalhaMV prediction: 2- 0 comfortable win to New Radiant
Players to watch: Ali Fasir (10) New Radiant SC, Purcino Luiz Eduardo (10) Eagles
United Victory under coach Nazeeh has been the biggest surprise so far in the season, winning both their matches. They did not play in match day 3 as their match against New Radiant was postponed to accommodate New Radiant SC match in the AFC Cup. One can argue that they are yet to face a strong opponent in the league, given that their wins were against Club Valenciaa and Victory SC. With a win against Club Green Streets United Victory can put doubters to bed.
Club Green Streets is yet to win a match under the new coach Suzain with 2 draws and a loss in the league so far. They lost to club eagles in match day 3, which would have been a disappointing result after two hard fought draws against TC and Maziya which one would argue are tougher opponents. It’s difficult to judge green streets form given the mix results.
We expect an exciting match between the two teams, managed by brothers. Suzain by far has the better track record as a coach even though Nazeeh was clearly the better player in his playing days. Nazheeh would love to make it 3 wins in a row in the league with a win against his brother.
BoalhaMV prediction: 2-2 draw
Players to watch: illia Sobol (10) Club Green Streets, Sammuel Kordell Devone (29) United Victory
