Ali Ashfaq earns a spot in the AFC Cup team of the week after a wonderful Hat-trick that fired the Blues to all three points against Indian league champions Aizawl.

Despite a initial scare from the north Indians after they took the lead soon after the half hour mark it was Ashfaq who scored before the end of the first half to keep the blues hopes alive before finding the back of the net twice to complete his hat-trick.

The legendary striker was the only player from South Asia to feature in the team dominated by South East Asian and Western Asian players.

Veteran Indonesia goalie Wawan Hendrawan was in goal after he helped his side earn a point away from home against Vietnamese side Thanh Hoa fc. Jordanian club Al Jazeera center back duo of Zaid Jaber and Yazan Abu Arab took the two center back positions while Persija Jakarta's 38 year old captain Ismed Sofyan filled the right back position and the left back position went to Home United's 34 year old Jumaat Jantan.

Home United's Shafiq and Anumanthan filled a midfield three along side Annayev of Turkmen club Ahal and upfront Ali Ashfaq completed a front three alongside An II Bom of North korean side April 25 sports club and Malaysian side Johor striker Rashid.
