Lacchey appointed as Foakaidhoo FC Coach
Foakaidhoo FC has appointed Adam Abdul Latheef Lacchey as their head coach for the upcoming Minivan Championship campaign. Foakaidhoo will have to play the Atolls Cup first. If they win the Atolls cup they will qualify for the Zone play-off. A place in the Premier League will go to two teams from North and two from south.
These teams will be decided by a five team pool north and six in south. All zones play off winners will play in a league with last years Premier League participants. Due to Financial reason Millandhoo has already withdrawn making the north zone smaller with five team. Other Premier League teams that will join the final stages of Minivan championships are Thinadhoo, Kudahuvadhoo and Maalhos Sports Club.
Lacchey has previously worked in New Radiant Sports club as an assistant coach and the under 21 head coach. Earlier Lacchey had an excellent run with Vilufushi football club in the Zones tournaments. Lacchey is better known as the legendary striker of Valencia. The famous number 14 was just a school boy breaking into the national team during the late 80's.
