The draws for the 2018 AFC Cup were announced on Wednesday, December 6, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League champions, New Radiant SC has been drawn to the same group with the champions of India, Aizwl FC and the champions of Bangladesh, Abahani Limited Dhaka. Bengaluru FC confirmed the last place in the group after beating TC Sports in the play-off recently.

New Radiant SC is the most successful team from Maldives to compete in the AFC Cup. They were semi-finalists in 2005. Next year, they will be competing in the AFC Cup after a long time.

Group stage matches of the AFC Cup 2018 have already started. New Radiant will play their first group stage match against Abahani at Bangladesh on March 7^th.
