The Season opening charity shield match that was scheduled to take place between New Radiant SC and TC Sports Club has now been officially cancelled. The match was scheduled to take place on 6^th February 2018, but due to the state of Emergency declared on the country the match was postponed indefinitely.

In a media statement released by FAM today, they have informed that if the match is to be rescheduled again, the football calendar for the year 2018, which is very hectic and tight has to be changed and it might affect New Radiant SC and TC Sports Club in their preparations for the AFC Cup. Hence given it’s a year that FAM has planned a lot of activities for the National Team as well, they do not plan to disrupt the Football calendar as it might have adverse affect on the teams and football in general.
