As New Radient Sports Club us getting ready for the new season, they have appointed Maldives #1 player Ali Ashfag (Dhagey) as the captain for the blues side.

In an event organised by the mighty blues at FAM turf ground yesterday in the ocasion of signing with the club's new sponser, Ooredoo Maldives, Ali Ashfag was revealed as the leader of the team. It is not the first time that Ashfag will be taking on the duty of the blues captaincy. He has already done it during the previous seasons with blues.

In 2006, Dhagey debuted in Blue shirt for the biggest club of the nation, New Radiant. After a season he left blues and returned to New Radiant in 2012, the following year, 2013, the most remarkable season of his career in club level and New Radiant’s most successful season.

Along with Ashfag, the most two senior players in the blues squad, last two years Best Player of the nation winning striker, Ali Fasir (center) and Akram Abdul Ghani (Aku), who found his spot back in the national side after a couple of years sit back, both of them was introduced as the vice captains for the double title, Premier League and President's Cup winner's side.
