Raahul scored a few beautiful goals this year, for the Champions Eagles under 21. BoalhaMV met with this starlet to share his story.

BoalhaMV:  Raahul, how does it feel to play an instrumental part for Eagles Success?

Raahul: it was an amazing experience to be part of such a talented squad and contribute to the third U-21 trophy.

 

BoalhaMV: You scored two beautiful goals, describe your favorite one

Raahul: It’s the first goal ofcourse since it’s my debut goal for eagles and I think I hit it pretty well haha

 

BoalhaMV: What was your favorite moment in this championship?

Raahul: the last penalty by our keeper in the final shoot out.

Someone dear to me always reminds me of this quote, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars.” So anything you do, do it with passion, commitment and dedication. That’ll get you where you want or beyond, in Sha allah.

BoalhaMV: We have seen you on TV in commercials, would we be seeing you in football related commercials in the future?

Raahul: Hahah no I don’t think so.

 

BoalhaMV: Besides football, what do you do?

Raahul: I’m about to finish my A levels and I work for one shot events.

 

BoalhaMV: You are one of those who are very good at studies and football, what advice would you give to youth players?

Raahul: I believe it’s very important to play a sport that you love while you’re in a school or college and more important to balance out the two. Make sure you have a huge target. Someone dear to me always reminds me of this quote, “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars.” So anything you do, do it with passion, commitment and dedication. That’ll get you where you want or beyond, in Sha allah.

 

BoalhaMV: We understand that you were part of the BG set-up last season, tell us about your BG experience

Raahul: It was a privilege to be in the squad of a first division team and I believe I have gained a lot by playing with experienced players.

 

BoalhaMV: Who is your favorite football player and why?

Raahul: Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s always been an inspiration for me and what he has achieved is through hard work and dedication. So it’s something I look up to.

 

BoalhaMV: Who is you favorite local player and why

Raahul: Ibrahim fazeel (oppo). I like his style of play.

 

BoalhaMV: Do you have a target for your football career

Raahul: To play for the national team is one of my biggest goals.

 

BoalhaMV: If Coach Shakitte asked you to as one of the strikers in a two striker system, who would you choose as your strike partner and why?

Raahul: oggy. It’s easy to play with him.

 

BoalhaMV: When your goalkeeper went to take the penalty today what was going on in your mind?

Raahul: Was wondering how I’d feel if I were to take that penalty although I was ready to run and celebrate haha

BoalhaMV: Did you reach your target for Eagles in the youth cup?

Raahul: yes we won the championship and individually I’m happy with my performance in the given chance.

 

BoalhaMV: What does future hold for your football career?

Raahul: wallahu a'lam but I’ll try my best to achieve my goals.

 

BoalhaMV: Any message for a loved one?

Raahul: I would like to thank coach shakitte and kaka coach for giving me this opportunity and  my family, friends who’re there for me and supports me.
