Valencia departs to AFC Cup play-off match.

Club Valencia have departed to Bhutan an hour ago, to play their first play-off match of the AFC Cup 2017. FA Cup winners will compete against Bhutan's Thimphu City in away.

As their former coach Ahmed Mujthaba (Fesco) is set to take-over the Head Coach responsibilities after long 13 years. Under Fesco's instructions Maldives yellow submarine side lifted Pomis Cup back in 2001. He will officialy instruct the yellow submarine side this season in the home leg match of play-off in AFC Cup. Meantime current head coach and goalkeeper trainer Mohamed Igbal will take care of the team in the away match on 1st January.

Valencia signed new players, who have already played in the top division, to replace the the players like Mohamed Arif (Baka), Ahmed Adhuham (Sadey), Akram Abdul Ghanee (Aku).

The home leg match for Valencia in Male' against Thimphu City will be on 7th February.
