Today in the Football Association of Maldives 3^rd Division 2017, Lorenzo Sports Club has registered their first win against Red Line Club (R.L.C). Today evening in FAM #1 Turf ground, during the 3^rd match of the tournament Lorenzo managed to gain their first three points from the game by 0-1 score line.

During the first half of the game both teams played an average game with numbers of youth players among the both squad. Lately among the third division squads, they use junior age boys age of 15 to 18. In Red Line Club (R.L.C) also there are five under 16 national squad players. On the other side, in Lorenzo Sports Club there were one player from last year’s under 16 national side.

First half of the match ended without a goal for both sides. In the second half, at the very early minutes, Lorenzo took the lead with the only goal of the match. It was Iqbal Riyaz who scored for Lorenzo in the 47^th minute.

Tournament matches being played in the FAM Turf 1 ground. This year’s tournament kicked off with total 39 teams, which were divided in to 10 groups. As a tournament format, there will be first the group stage round from which the top two teams from each group will forward to next round, which will be a knock out stage round.
