Maldives captain Ashfaq will not play against Oman tomorrow night due to a hamstring injury.

Coach Stewart said that after seeing the MRI the medical officials of the team has decided not to play him in the next match to avoid a career threatening injury. Coach also added that Ashfaq wants to play despite the injury but he did not want to take the risk of making it worse.

Dhangadey has played against Oman in the away match in AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. Maldives lost that match with a score of 5 - 0. He played in that match after recovery from a knee injury and after he came back he put in a good performance for New Radiant in the league.

National team informs that Dhagadey will be fit to play after this Thursday, so it is expected he will be seen in New Radiant's practices after the league break. With Ashfaq, Assadulla from Maziya is also out injured of the team. National team Coach is expecting a good performance from the players who will come in to replace both of them.
