Maldives National Futsal team suffered a heavy loss in its third match in the group B of the 5^th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, losing to Uzbekistatn by a score line of 9-1.

Uzbekistan scored 4 goals in the first half, while Maldives team managed to score one goal. Uzbekistan scored 5 more unanswered goals in the second half to win the match comfortably.

Nishonov Khusniddin (Jersey No 13) and Sviridov Konstantin (jersey No. 14) of Uzbekistan scored two goals each in the match. The only goal for Maldives was scored by Ahmed Naseem Mohamed Nashid (jersey No. 7).

Uzbekistan had a total of 63 attempts at Maldives goal with 35 on target. Maldives team managed only 11 attempts on Uzbekistan goal with 5 on target.

Maldives Futsal team lost its opening match to U.A.E. by 3-1, and lost the second match to Afghanistan by a score of 6-1.

Maldives National Futsal team will play its final group match today against Peoples Republic of China.
