Match week #5 – Our predictions
After the break for the National Teams Asian Cup qualification match, Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier league’s match week #5 fixtures to be played in the coming few days. Boalha MV looks at the fixtures list for the weekend and shares our prediction.
Kudahuvadhoo vs Thinadhoo
It must have been a good league break for both the teams as their practice routine was not affected by the Nation Teams departure unlike some other teams. Thinadhoo team’s investment on players before the transfer market are showing positive signs of improvement with a point against the league favourites Maziya SR in match week #4 fixture. Kudahuvadhoo has also shown signs of improvement in recent week but sits at the bottom of the table with just one point. We think Thinadhoo will keep improving their form and win the match.
Boalha MV Prediction: Thinadhoo to win 2-1
New Radiant SC vs Milandhoo
New Radiant SC training was most affected during the break as they had the largest number of players in the National Team. While all the players are expected to join the team and start against Milandhoo, fatigue and tiredness would come into play against a fresh and motivated Milandhoo Team. But we still believe New Radiant fire power at the front is too strong to be kept out for 90 minutes.
Boalha MV Prediction: New Raidant to win 2-0
TC Sports Club vs Malhos
TC Sports Club would be looking to improve on their form as they just managed a point in match week #4. They face arguably one of the weaker teams in the league and should get easy three points if they play to their full potential. We believe Malhos will be organized and will give a good fight to TC but eventually would lose the match.
Boalha MV Prediction: TC to win 4-1
Maziya SR vs Club Green Streets
Maziya are still without their captain and talisman Asadulla Abdulla for their difficult match again Club Green Streets. His absence was felt in the last game with a disappointing draw against Thinadhoo in match week #4. We feel their match against Club Green Streets would be one of the difficult matches in this round for them and they might just be happy to get a draw against formidable Club Green Streets team.
Boalha MV Prediction: 1-1 Draw
