Shaazly suspects India of Age fraud

Maldives under 16 national team coach Shaazly suspects that India has used age fraud in the SAFF under 16 championships. Age Fraud is the use of false documents to gain an advantage over opponents and commonly used in countries where records are not easily verifiable.

India won against Maldives by a nine goal margin and Shaazly said that Maldives were outrun when it came to physicality and fitness.

“Many of the Indian players have the same physicality and fitness as top flight Maldivian players. I’m talking about Maldivian players playing in the AFC cup” said Shaazly.

Shaazly also said that it is impossible for 15 year-old players to have such physicality and fitness at such a young age.

Speaking about Nepal Shaazly said that the Nepalese players were more like 15 year-olds and that Nepal team did not have such physicality and fitness.

Maldives were knocked out of the group stage after suffering two heavy defeats. Maldives lost matches against India and Nepal.
