A referee development program is set to be held next month with help from AFC referee department. FA president Bassam has announced today.

With referee's facing more and more criticisms from fans, coaches and players the FA has now decided to take measures to improve the referees.

According to Bassam members from the AFC referee department will visit Maldives on the 15th of September. Bassam also said that AFC will be appointing foreign referee directors.

To try and coupe with the pressure faced from clubs and fans the FA has bought in referees from Sri lanka and other neighboring countries.
