Football Association of the Maldives is scheduled to hold a futsal tournament for the government offices and government Companies under the name of “Presidents Futsal Cup Recreational 2017.

The tournament is scheduled to start on 1^st October 2017.

Interested Government Offices and Companies has been requested to submit the participation form before the deadline of 20 September 2017. The participation form and the tournament rules are available at the FAM counter.

There are many regular futsal tournaments currently held with Club Maldives Cup being the biggest annual futsal tournament. Futsal has a big support in Maldives with a huge crowd base, but a clear distinction between futsal players and football players yet to be made with a lot of players playing both. President of the Football Association of the Maldives earlier this year had said that players would in the future have to choose one of the sports with National Team for both sports now formed under FAM.
