Maziya Sports & Recreation move a step closer to securing the league title following a ten goal hammering of Super United Sports.

After 17 games played in the league, table toppers Maziya has 48 points to their name and a impressive goal difference of 65 in their favor.

Meanwhile, Super United are in seventh place with 14 points while bottom of the league Da Grande has just a point to their name.

Striker Cornelius Stewart fired home in the 15th minute to draw first blood. Stewart’s low shot ended up in the back of the net to give green boys the early lead.

Soon after Tana Dominguez followed up to make it 2-0 and Hamza Mohamed added his name to the scoresheet to make it 3-0 for Maziya.

Seven minutes after the half hour mark Hamza hit the net once again to grab his second of the game and make it 4-0 for Maziya.

The green boys had to wait until the 50th minute for their next goal. Ibrahim Aisam heading home to make it 5-0.

Ten minutes later Tana converted to give Maziya a six goal cushion while Hamza followed to grab his hattrick and make it seven goals to the good for Maziya.

Asadulla Abdulla tapped in from close range to make it 8 goals to nothing in the 78th minute. 

Aisam scored in the 80th minute to get his second of the game and Maziya’s ninth goal. Asadulla wrapped up the big win scoring the 10th goal in the 84th minute.
