Zefrol and Kuda henveiru decide not to take part in Male' league qualification

Second division champions club zefrol and runner-ups kuda henveiru has decided to abandon the STO Male' league 2018 qualification.

Male' league qualification is set kick-off on the 1st of August with the bottom four of STO Male' league and top two sides from the second division.

Both zefrol and henveiru have sent a letter to the football association confirming that both clubs will not take part in the Male' league qualification.

Presidents of both zefrol and henveiru have confirmed that the clubs do not have the ability to spend money for the qualification and pay the wages of players.

Second division side received five hundred thousand Rufiyaa only for the second division tournament meanwhile clubs in Male' league bottom four received two million Rufiyaa for each club.

Football association general secretary Hussain Jawaz has said that FA will take a decision on the issue today.
