New Radiant supporters and senior officials have been vocal ever since the club went into administration claiming it was FA president Bassam who had created the ordeal. However, the bitter truth is that it was the club's leadership and the people the supporters trusted the most that led the club into the mess in the first place.

Blues fans and the current board members of New Radiant had called for the resignation of Bassam since the club was suspended and that anger further erupted after AFC declared Radiant Sports as the sporting successor of New Radiant. But since a meeting with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih the tides have turned after the president promised to help bring back the club. The truth in New Radiant alone cannot raise the money the club needs.

So Wasif now changes his views from anti-Bassam and Bassam out to praising the FA boss. Wasif went as far as to say that he had full trust in Bassam. "I have full trust in Bassam," said Wasif speaking to the media after he was elected as Chairman of New Radiant.
