Former head coach of Victory Sports Club has called for the resignation of the club President and the General Secretary.

In his Facebook page, coach Mohamed Shazly has said that the weak and unsporting decision taken by the club is one of the reasons behind their failure to qualify to the Premier League.

Victory finished 6th in the league despite being level on points with 4th placed TC sport club. TC, Eagles and Victory finished level on points, TC escaping with the best goal difference. The top 4 teams of the Male' League qualifies to the Premier League while the bottom 4 play in the Male' League qualifying round.

Victory Sports Club sacked Mohamed Shazly as the head coach weeks before Male' League, and appointed experienced coach Ali Suzain. Former Victory Legends Mauroof Ahmed(Maatte) and Abdul Jalil(Abjee) supported the decision of the club then. Not all the board members were consulted according to one board member who wanted to remain anonymous. Most of  Victory's top management were happy to see Ali Suzain at the club but questions were asked if it was the best time to sack Shazly.

Victory showed early promise when the new chairman Nazeem took over officially and helped secure expensive players like Moustafa Seddik from Eagles, Mahmud Al Yusuf and Andrej Keric from United Victory, New Radiant's Velic Velickov. Victory also signed the cream from the relegated BG Sports Club. Ismail Easa(Messi) signed from Maziya, Ali Arif(Baka) and Hassan Adhuham(Sadey) from Valencia, Niyaz(Niyatte) from New Radiant, Mohamed Imran(Kuda Imma) from TC. On paper Victory looked the strongest team in the country.
