Maziya Sports and Recreation Club destroyed United Victory in today's Dhivehi Premier League clash.

Maziya striker Cornelius Stewart was off the mark in the 2nd minute. Hamza Mohamed(Hampu) regained possession from a high pressing and passed the ball for Cornelius who tapped the ball into the empty net. Midfielder Aisam doubled Maziya's lead few minutes later from a Hassan Naiz(Dhaadhu) cross after good work from Hampu again. Halfway through the second half, Cornelius added his second after a mistake by United Victory goalkeeper. Ten minutes from the break, Hampu as again involved as his cross was headed in by Hassan Naiz(Dhaadhu) to make it 4-0 beafore the break.

Just five minutes into the second half Pedro Tanausu Dominguez(Tana) switched the ball to Dhaadhu and made a run into the box, Dhaadhu's cross into the box found the Spanish play-maker who made it 5-0. Three minutes later United Victory got one back, Ivan Veras heading in Bassam's cross. Maldives Captain Akram Abdul Ghani(Aku) blasted in Maziya's 6th goal from a Tana corner three minutes after the UV goal. Maziya high pressing payed off again as Aisam regained the ball and passed it to Hampu who was brought down in the penalty area. Cornelius completed his hattrick from the spot kick in the 62nd minute. Hampu's goal late in the game was ruled out for off-side.

The win takes the Champions, Maziya back to the top of the Dhivehi Premier League, while United Victory remain in the 4th spot. Later tonight TC Sports take on Da Grande.
