Maldives squad for Bangladesh match announced

Maldives National Team coach Francesco Moriero has announced the final 23 man squad for the upcoming fixture against Bangladesh. Major inclusion in the squad is Ali Fasir, Hamza Mohamed, and Mohamed Faisal along with captain Akram Abdul.

Hamza has been struggling with a hamstring injury according to sources while keeper Mohamed Faisal has not featured in the league due to unknown reasons. Ali Fasir also suffered an injury during the Presidents Cup final and has been out of league action.

Captain Akram Abdul Ghanee has been on bench up until the final league game of the first round against Valencia where he went on to score in an easy win for Maziya.

Another Maziya duo with little football included in the side is Mohamed Umairu and Ibrahim Mahudhee Hassan. Asadullah Abdulla also has not been in great form and has spent most of the season on the bench but managed to pick up a spot on the Red Snappers' side. Asadullah came on as a substitute and scored against Valencia in Maziya's last league game.

A most deserved player so far who claimed a spot was Amdhan Ali who has been in great form ever since making the move from Maziya to Valencia. He was crucial in Valencia's President Cup-winning run.

Eagles duo Ahmed Rizvan and Ahmed Hassan have been in tremendous form since the start of the season and both players got a well deserved spot in the squad. Struggling Club Green Streets have had a rough season so far but have Ahmed Naahil has taken his spot after having a great start to the season.
