Eagles wing-back Haisham Hassan(Bidi) has been named Maldives captain ahead of the Asian Under-23 Cup Qualifying clash against Iraq today.

Bidi's deputies would be Mohamed Jailam(Oggy) and Abdulla Yameen(Yaanu) of Green Streets. Maldives will play Iraq tonight at 1815 hours Maldives time at Al Muharraq Stadium in Bahrain. Maldives will play the hosts Bahrain on the 28th and Afghanistan on the 31st of October.

Bidi has won the hearts of the Maldives after solid SAFF Championship performance. The youngster specially won the admiration of the nation when his cross was headed in by Ali Ashfaq(Dhagandey) when Maldives beat Sri Lanka.
