India crush Nepal to lift SAFF Championship

First time SAFF finalist Nepal suffered a heart breaking defeat as they conceded the title to tournament favorites and all time record holders India. Skipper Sunil Chhetri inspired India fired 3 goals past Nepal in the second half to secure their 8th title in SAFF Championship.

Sunil fired the opening goal in the 49th minute and two minutes later midfielder Suresh Singh made it two to the good for India. Substitue Sahal Abdul Samad secured an additional time goal to make it 3-0 for the Blue Tigers. 

Sunil took home the best player and top scorer award of the tournament.
