Bashundhara Kings beat Maziya 2-0 in tonights AFC Cup second game.

With both teams playing cautiously, Bashundhara Kings took the lead when Irey(Mohamed Irufan) lobbed the ball over the stranded goalkeeper Mirzokhid Mamatkhonov into his own net in the 24th minute. Ten minutes later, Dhaadhu(Hassan Naiz) had a effort just over. Robson doubled the lead beating Mamatkhonov in his near post. Two minutes later the goalkeeper was again in no-man's land but Becerra's effort was wide off the taget. 3 minutes before halftime Fernandes had a effort just over the bar for Bashundhara Kings.

10 minutes into the second half, Bashundhara Kings playing defensive, Mahudhee'e (Feydhoo Ibbe)cross was close. 5 minutes later, the referee dismissed Maziya's claim for a penalty. Late in the second half Irey made amends to earlier mistakes by making two blocks to deny Bashundhara Kings. 7 minutes from time, Hampu had a powerful freekick easily saved by the goalkeeper Anisur Rahman. Umair coming on in the closing stages made two dangerous efforts for corners but Bashundhara looked the more dangerous side with their counter attacking.

With the Win Bashundhara King and Mohun Bagan are level on points and goals at the summit while Maziya and Bengaluru FC sit at the bottom. On 21st Bengaluru FC will play against Bashundhara Kings in the evening while Maziya will take on ATK Mohun Bagan at the night kick-off.
