Jayesh Ranes' shot from outside the box gives Bengaluru FC a 1-0 victory over Club Eagles in the AFC Cup playoff.

Eagles without Maldives Legend Ali Ashfaq(Dhagandey) taken sick just before the match, scored the first goal which was ruled out for offside.  Ismail Easa's goal was cancelled before Eagles conceded the goal in the 26th minute when Rane's shot went in between defender  Haisham Hassan's legs(Bidi).

In the second half, Sentey(Ali Fasir) beat two defenders only to send his shot wide. Sentey had one of the best chance of the match again missing a long pass from Kuro(Hussain Shifau). Substitute Leon had an excellent chance in the second half from a Sunil Chhetri lay-off sending a power drive over the bar.

Bengaluru moves on to the Group -D and will play their first match agains ATK Mohun Bagan on the 18th evening, before Maziya takes on Bashundhara king.
