Minister for Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment,  Ahmed Mahloof has announced the completion of another football pitch in the atolls.

The pitch at K. Maafushi is announced as job done in a tweet by the minister today. It is a part of a program by the Youth Ministry, supported by the Football Association to build artificial turf football pitches across the country. Plans are in place to kick-start an All-Maldives Dhivehi Premier League for the 2023-24 season. According to Minister Mahloof's tweet discussions with the FA Presidents are underway to play some Dhivehi Premier League matches in the newly completed pitch at K. Maafushi.

All the new Premier League teams will have to start their journey from the Third Division this season. Divided into four zones, Zone-4 Third division is the existing FA Third Division.
