President of the Football Association of Maldives has wished the TC Sports and Maldives International Mohamed Azzam as he announced his retirement from football.

Bassam Tweeted that Azzam is one of the most disciplined players he had met. The FA President indicated that he wished that Azzam would continue. Azzam,capped for Maldives rose to prominence in BG Sports and later in TC. In TC Azzam was even capped for Maldives. 

The hardworking midfielder was awarded 'The Best Player' of the first round of Dhivehi Premier League 2020-21. The 31 year old announced his retirement from profession football in an Independence Day Cup in N. Kendikulhudhoo.
