Maldives Captain Akram Abdul Ghani(Aku) is Eagles 7th signing for the AFC Cup Campaign.

Just few hours ago, Eagles signed Akram's Maldives and Club Valencia team-mate Faisal Mohamed. Dhagandey (ali Ashfaq) and Sentey (Ali Fasir) had also made the switch from Valencia earlier for the AFC Cup. The versatile player can operate in any outfield position. Maldives captiain Aku is the second captain to lift an International football trophy for Maldives when he captained Maldives to SAFF Championship in 2018. Ten years earlier in 2010 when Maldives won the SAFF Championship for the first time, Aku's brother Assad Abdul Ghani was Maldives' captain.

Eagles will battle out a one leg play-off against Bengaluru FC on the 18th of August.
