Top flight footballers have begun the Covid-19 vaccination program as clubs and players push to resume the league at the earliest date possible. Officials and staffs of all clubs are also to be vaccinated. 

Ali Ashfaq, Ali Fasir and Akram Abdhul Ghanee were the first players to take the first dose of the vaccine. The league has been shut down since HPA banned all group sports and imposed a new measures of restrictions as a new variant of Covid-19 takes a grip over the Islands. 

Meanwhile, high level meeting with the president and clubs were also held yesterday and the president promised to look into possible options for the league.
