Top division bosses fear fitness drop with league shutdown
With the top flight suspended and all clubs banned from training session first division managers fear another fitness trouble for the players. The news is more worrying for National Team boss Martin Koopman who is preparing for an away game in China.
Some top Division coaches who spoke to Boalha.mv said getting back to Fitness once again after a break would be a massive challenge with all group sports being banned till further notice due to rise in cases of Covid 19 in the greater Male' area.
Some coaches said that they have handed over players fitness guidelines to maintain fitness from home with workouts but coaches say many players do not follow these guidelines.
The early games of first round of the Dhivehi league saw many players struggling for full 90 minutes and fitness levels only started to pick up midway through the first half of round one.
