Tuchel agrees to become Chelsea manager

Former PSG boss Tomas Tuchel has agreed to take over Chelsea. The 47 year old German was sacked by PSG before Christmas and has been strongly linked to the Blues and British media reports suggest that he will be in charge when Chelsea take on Wolves.

Reports claim that paperworks are being prepared to finalize the deal and that there were no other candidates running for the job. However, Massimiliano Allegri and RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann were also considered by the Blues as they were keen on a German manager.

Tuchel who is fluent in English will find his new life in London easy and has a number of German players in the Blues set up to help him fit in. The German had previously managed Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and PSG. Tuchel won the league with PSG in 2018 and 2019 and took PSG to the final of the 2019 champions League where the French side lost.
