FAM third division is set to begin on the 4th of February with 15 teams taking part in the bottom tier and four groups have been draw with four teams in three groups and one group with three teams. 

The FA extended the registration deadline following delays by a number of clubs to in finish registration paper works. All third Division side are required to be connected to FIFA Connect. 

This is the 2019 third Division that is played due to the tournament delay due to Covid 19. The top Four teams will make it to the 2020 FA second Division that is to be held shortly after the finish of the third division February. An official from the FA who spoke to Boalha.mv said that sufficient time would be given between the third Division tournament and the Second division.
