Mohan appointed head coach of Super United

Former Eagles boss Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan) has been appointed as the gaffer of Super United following the departure of Nashid. Mohan and Eagles came to an agreement to terminate the contract while Nashid and SUS followed the same procedure. 

Following a 1-1 draw against UV Nashid said that he did not have any interest in leaving SUS and that he would only have to be fired. The statement came following rumors that Nashid was to be take over by Mohan who left Eagles. 

Mohan has previous managed the likes of New Radiant, Valencia Kudahuvadhoo and Mahibadhoo. Mohan enjoyed a number of success with New Radiant and lead Kudahuvadhoo to a Minivan Championship title and last year Mohan delivered a youthful Eagles side to a second place finish with AFC Cup qualifications on the loom for Eagles now. 

Furthermore, Mohan was in charge as the assistant coach of the national team and worked as the FA's technical director. Mohan's first game with SUS is a fixture against Club Valencia on Thursday.
