Maziya Sports eased to a 4-0 in over United Victory in the league opener. Maziya came into the game with changes to the starting 11 that took on Eagles. 

Maziya had two early chances to draw first blood but Ali Samooh and Naaiz hassan both failed to convert the chances. Soon after the half hour mark Mohamed Umair fired home to give the green boys the lead. Ibrahim Mahudhee found Umair who slotted into the corner of the net. 

Five minutes from the break Amdhan Ali headed home from the far post to make it 2-0 for Maziya. UV defender Shamaal wayward headed clearance fell to the far post where Amdhan met the ball and guided into an open net. 

In the 65th minute Mohamed Umair was fouled inside the box by UV skipper Arif. Asadullah stepped up and converted from the spot to give Maziya a three goal cushion. 

Asadullah grabbed his second and Maziya's fourth of the day after UV goalie Ruslan's clearance came off his own team-mate and fell for Asadullah who put the ball into the back of an empty net. 

Speaking after the game UV boss Mohamed Adam said that his side made three mistakes to concede and said that his side tried to play long from the back soon after they conceded and his side struggled with the new tactics. Adam also added that he was happy with how his side played despite the score. 

Maziya gaffer Nizam said that this was a great start to the league and that he was pleased with how his side handled the game. Nizam further stated that this a great result to forget about the game against Eagles and that he wants to take on game by game.
