Pochetino to lead United should Ole be fired

With increasing pressure on Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Soklsjaer after an early exit from the Champions League British tabloid reports suggest that former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is in contention to take over should Ole be show the exit door from Old Trafford.

Argentine Mauricio has been out of job for over an year since he was sacked by Spurs. A number of clubs have been interested in the Argentine including Russian giant Zenit, Real Madrid and Barcelona. However it is unlikely Barca and Real would consider booting their current managers.

Pochettino's failure to deliver any trophies for Spurs has been his biggest downfall. Despite pochs awful trophy record United fans and many pundits alike believe he can deliver at United. Pochettino has been linked with a number of clubs but no rumor is stronger than United chief's desire to have him at the club. Chances of Pochettino landing at Old Trafford is very real as Ole's Red Devils continues to struggle at home.

A derby defeat against Man City would be a heavy blow for Ole would put huge pressure on the United boss.
