Football Association of Maldives (FAM) announced that FA Charity Shield match will be officiated by former FIFA referee Victor Kassai.

President of FAM Bassam Adeel Jaleel yesterday posted on social media that Victor will be officiating tomorrow’s match. Victor arrived in Maldives for this historical match.

Victor is the current head of refereeing department of Russian Football Union. He had officiated UEFA Champions League Final match between Barcelona and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium in 2011. He also participated in FIFA world cup in 2010.

Maldives will kick off its new football season tomorrow in Galolhu National Stadium. The fight will be between last season champion Maziya Sports and Recreation Club and last runner-up club eagles. After that Dhiraagu Dhivehi league will start on 13^th December.
